New Product Alert: MTS Level Plus LevelLimit Liquid Level Transmitter and HI Level Switch

MTS Sensors has introduced the LevelLimit liquid level transmitter. The LevelLimit incorporates a magnetostritive level transmitter for inventory monitoring with an electrically isolated HI level switch for overfill protection. The sensor has the ability to monitor inventory levels with the added protection of a high level switch for those tanks that do not have openings for multiple sensors and for those applications that do not require a mechanically separate HI level switch. The initial launch of the LevelLimit includes an Intrinsically Safe approval from FM covering the US, Canada, ATEX, and IECEx.

Designed for use in oil lease tanks as well as bulk storage aboveground tanks, the Level Plus LevelLimit features 5-IN-1 measurement of the product level, interface level, temperature, volume and an integral HI level switch. The HI level switch uses a Digital I/O signal to trigger alarm functions in a PLC or remote RTU. The switch is equipped with a manual test method that allows for periodic checks of proper alarm function. A Modbus signal is used for conveying all of the inventory data including up to 16 temperature points. The LevelLimit’s ±1 mm inherent accuracy makes it highly suitable for monitoring inventory levels of refined fuels, crude oil, fuel oil, ethanol and other valuable liquids.

The LevelLimit transmitter is available with a flexible hose that is available for tank heights up to 22m (72.2ft.) or with a rigid pipe for those tanks 7.6m (25ft.) or less. The standard process connection is a 4” NPT fitting designed for installation on oil lease tanks. Additional process connection types and sizes will be released soon. All of the wetted parts for LevelLimit are 316L SS (1.4404) with additional materials to be released soon.

MTS Sensors liquid level transmitters present customers with a "set it and forget it" solution. Once installed and calibrated there is no requirement for scheduled maintenance or recalibration work. As a result operating costs can be significantly reduced.
